Tata Motors has once again introduced its popular car Tata Nano in the Indian market in a new avatar. Launched in 2008 as the world’s cheapest car, Nano is now making a comeback in 2025 with modern features, improved performance and attractive design. This car has emerged as an affordable and reliable option especially for middle class families and daily commuters in cities.
Engine and Performance
The new Tata Nano has a 624cc single cylinder petrol engine, which generates 38bhp of power and 51Nm of torque. It will have the option of 5-speed manual and AMT transmission, which makes the driving experience even smoother. Its top speed is up to 105 km/h and mileage reaches 25–30 km/l.
Features and Design
The compact design of the new Tata Nano makes it ideal for driving in urban traffic and narrow streets. This car has been provided with modern features to improve the driving experience, such as a 7-inch touchscreen display with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
It also has a digital instrument cluster, which provides information like speedometer, fuel indicator and trip meter. It also includes air conditioner, Bluetooth connectivity and USB charging port for convenient travel. In terms of safety, this car is equipped with important features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensor, which make it a smart and safe option.
Price and availability
The Tata Nano 2025 is priced between ₹ 2.85 lakh to ₹ 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in three variants like XE, XM and XT. The on-road price can go from ₹ 3.25 lakh to ₹ 4.85 lakh depending on the city. This car competes with cars like Maruti Alto K10, Renault Kwid and S-Presso.
