If you are troubled by the rising electricity bill of the house, then Tata’s 2 kW solar system can be a great solution for you. This system can generate about 240 to 260 units of electricity every month, so that you can easily run appliances like half ton AC, submersible pump, TV, fan and cooler in your house.
To install this system, you will need 4 bifacial solar panels of 540 watts from Tata, which currently cost around ₹ 19 per watt plus GST in the market. Along with this, a 2 kW on-grid inverter will be installed, which costs between ₹ 19,000 to ₹ 22,000 and it can handle a load of up to 1800 watts at a time.
Apart from these panels and inverters, other necessary expenses like mounting structure, wiring and earthing kit also cost an additional ₹15,000 to ₹20,000. Overall, this solar system can cost you ₹1.30 lakh to ₹1.40 lakh.
The good news is that the central government is providing a subsidy of up to ₹80,000 on on-grid solar system, which is transferred to your bank account within 60 days of installation. However, before getting the subsidy, you have to get the entire system installed and pay for its cost.
