Pappu Yadav’s presence in Congress meeting causes stir in Mahagathbandhan, RJD uncomfortable with his statement on CM face

The political temperature in Bihar is high regarding the upcoming assembly elections. Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru, state president Rajesh Ram and independent MP from Purnia Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav attended an important meeting held at the Congress headquarters in Delhi. The purpose of this meeting was to decide the strategy of the grand alliance, but Pappu Yadav’s presence and his statement have started a new discussion in the political corridors.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Pappu Yadav said, “Our leader is Rahul Gandhi. We will take his ideology to every home. Whatever the order of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, we will work accordingly to win the Bihar elections.” He also claimed that he has got the blessings to contest the elections.

The most discussed is his statement in which he said that there are many faces in the Congress who have the potential to become the Chief Minister – including leaders like Rajesh Ram, Tariq Anwar and Ashok Ram. This statement directly challenges the claim of Tejashwi Yadav, whom RJD has already declared as the chief ministerial candidate of the Mahagathbandhan.

RJD leaders have reacted sharply to this statement. Party spokesperson Shakti Yadav said, “The Mahagathbandhan is united under the leadership of Tejashwi ji. The comments of the special invitee member do not change our strategy.” RJD MP Sudhakar Singh said, “This fight is not to gain power, but to save Bihar. We will not accept anyone who spreads confusion.”

This is the first time that Pappu Yadav attended a strategic meeting of the Congress and openly put forward his role and ideology. His statement indicates that the Congress can now become more active in its leadership role in the Mahagathbandhan.

Political analysts believe that this stance of Pappu Yadav can increase tension in the Mahagathbandhan regarding seat sharing and leadership. It will be interesting to see in the coming days how Congress and RJD resolve this issue and whether it has any impact on Tejashwi Yadav’s claim.
