The newly wed bride ran away after stealing cash and jewellery worth about two lakh rupees just two days after the wedding. When the family came to know about the incident, there was a stir. They searched for the youth who had arranged the marriage, but he also ran away. The victim’s family informed the police. The youth, a resident of a village in Khekra area, was unmarried.
The family made a lot of efforts to get him married, but did not succeed. Fed up with this, he asked one of his acquaintances to get him married, who told him about a person living in Delhi. He told that he arranges marriages of bachelors. He said that he should go and meet him. He will get them married too. It is said that after this the youth reached Delhi and met the person mentioned by his acquaintance. This person assured him that he would get him married. In return, he demanded five lakh rupees from the youth.
The youth withdrew five lakh rupees from his bank account and gave him another five lakh rupees. After this, the young man got the girl married to his girlfriend in a temple three days ago. After this, he took her to his house. There the family welcomed her with rituals. Last night, when the family was celebrating the wedding, the thief absconded after stealing two lakh rupees in cash and jewellery worth more than five lakh rupees kept in the house. As soon as the family came to know about the incident, there was a stir. The young man hurriedly called the middleman, but the number was switched off.
After this, he reached the young man’s house in Delhi, where he was also found absconding. On enquiring from the people around, it was found that he was living on rent. After this, the victim informed the police about the incident and demanded action.
