Maulana Salman accused of luring a woman and a girl in Lucknow

A case of conversion and kidnapping has come to light in Madiyanv police station area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, which has shocked the administration and the local people. Anil Kashyap, who works in a private company, has alleged that Maulana Salman Sheikh, a resident of Sitapur, converted his wife, sister-in-law and five-year-old daughter by giving them Islamic education and fled with them after luring them.

How was it revealed?

According to Anil Kashyap, he met Salman Sheikh a few months ago. As the friendship grew, Salman started visiting his house. Even when Anil was at work, Salman used to stay at home for hours. Gradually, the behavior of his wife and sister-in-law started changing, they started talking about Islamic things, leaving worship and rituals, and started quarreling when opposed.

When Anil returned home a week ago, his wife, sister-in-law and daughter were missing. There was no jewelry and cash in the house either. The neighborhood told that they were seen going with Salman. After this, Anil lodged an FIR in Madiyanv police station.

Allegations of brainwashing at dargahs and mausoleums

Anil alleges that Salman used to brainwash his wife and sister-in-law by taking them to dargahs and mausoleums in his absence. He used to give them Islamic education and motivate them to recite Kalma. This was the reason why they had turned away from worship when they returned home.

Police investigation and Changur connection

Madiyawan police station in-charge Shivanand Mishra said that a case has been registered against Salman under sections 365, 153A, 295A and the Conversion Act. The police have formed two teams which are searching for Salman, both the women and the girl. Also, the police are also investigating Salman’s possible connection with the Changur Baba conversion network.

Changur Baba’s network is already under the investigation of Uttar Pradesh ATS and ED, which includes serious allegations like forced conversion of thousands of Hindu women, foreign funding, and terrorist connections.
