Gas cylinder distribution may stop if e-KYC is not done by July 31, government has implemented new rules

An important news has come out for LPG gas cylinder consumers. The government has made e-KYC mandatory to make the gas distribution system more transparent and secure. According to the new rules, if a consumer does not complete the e-KYC process by July 31, 2025, then the supply of gas cylinder will be stopped.

This rule has been implemented especially in Saluni subdivision of Shamli district, where more than 6000 consumers have not yet done e-KYC. According to gas agency managers, consumers are not reaching the agency despite repeated requests and comments on the gas card. Now the agency has made it clear that consumers without e-KYC will not get cylinder refill after July 31.

Apart from this, it has also been made mandatory to change gas pipes every 5 years for safety. Strict action can also be taken against consumers who do not follow this rule.

SDM Saluni has also confirmed that all domestic consumers will have to register their mobile number and go to the gas agency to complete the e-KYC process. This step will not only smoothen the distribution but will also prevent fake connections and misuse of subsidy.

If you are also an LPG consumer and have not yet done e-KYC, then contact your nearest gas agency as soon as possible and get the process completed, so that your gas supply is not disrupted.
