Sambhal area of Uttar Pradesh has been a part of a lot of discussion. Now the electricity department has launched a checking campaign in this area on Tuesday. During the checking campaign, 10 such houses were found where illegal electricity consumption was detected. Now the electricity department has taken action under the Electricity Theft Act in all the cases. During this time, there has been a stir among the people who steal electricity in some other areas as well.
The electricity department is seen taking a lot of action regarding such incidents that are happening continuously. Now on Tuesday, Sub-Divisional Officer Nagar III Rahul Singh and Junior Engineer Satish Kumar along with the line staff conducted a checking campaign of the electricity department in Sarayatrain area.
During this entire campaign, electricity theft has been detected in a total of 10 houses in all the mohallas Kotla, Kasyavan and Bhuda coming under Sarayatrain feeder connected to Hayat Nagar sub-center. During this investigation, it was found that electricity meters were installed in all the houses, but a separate cable was taken out directly from the meter. This makes it clear that the consumer was bypassing the meter and stealing electricity illegally.
However, after reaching the spot, the officials have also collected all the videos and photos as evidence. Now the electricity department has also registered a primary case against all these people under the Electricity Theft Act. Along with all this, a warning has also been issued that if any such act is done again in the future, then a heavy fine will have to be paid and strict legal action will be taken.
