Ambani family drinks milk of a special breed of cow, this ‘royal nutrition’ comes from Bhagyalakshmi Dairy

The country’s richest industrialist Mukesh Ambani and his family are not just limited to expensive cars and luxurious houses, but their diet is also equally exclusive and healthy. According to recent reports, the milk that the Ambani family consumes daily does not come from any ordinary dairy but from Pune-based Bhagyalakshmi Dairy, where Holstein-Friesian breed cows are raised in a royal style.2

How is a Holstein-Friesian cow?

The Holstein-Friesian cow is originally a breed from the Netherlands and is counted among the world’s highest milk-yielding cows. A healthy cow gives 25 to 30 liters of milk per day, which is rich in nutrients like protein, calcium, A1 and A2 beta-casein. This is the reason why the Ambani family includes this milk in their health priority.

The care of cows is also royal

At Bhagyalakshmi Dairy, these cows are fed RO filtered water and are made to sleep on rubber-coated mattresses brought from Kerala to keep them comfortable5. The dairy has more than 3,000 cows and the complex is spread over 35 acres.

Milk price and customers

The milk of this dairy is sold in the market for about ₹ 152 per liter. Not only Ambani, but many famous personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar also order milk from this dairy. The owner of the dairy, Devendra Shah, who is of Gujarati origin, has made this dairy hi-tech and nutrition-focused.
