SHO Pankaj Kumar of Hazrat Nizamuddin police station of Delhi Police has made serious allegations against Saket Court judge Kartik Taparia, which has created a stir in the judiciary and police administration. The SHO has alleged that the judge sahab not only humiliated him in the court, but also repeatedly pressurized him for personal work.
What are the allegations?
SHO Pankaj Kumar has recorded several serious allegations in his daily diary entry, in which he claimed that Saket Court judge Kartik Taparia made him buy a cricket kit worth ₹ 20,000 and got a gym membership, whose fees he himself paid. Apart from this, he alleged that the judge also called Delhi Police officials during his marriage and got personal work done.
The SHO also mentioned that many times, out of fear, he also performed Judge sahab’s “phatikas” i.e. personal responsibilities, which had nothing to do with judicial proceedings. All these claims raise questions on the dignity and transparency of the judiciary.
High Court intervention
After these allegations, the matter reached the Delhi High Court. On July 15, 2025, the High Court issued an order to remove Judge Karthik Taparia from the post. This decision was taken on the basis of SHO’s complaint and the incidents recorded in the daily diary.
