CM Yogi’s strong statement on Muharram and Sawan

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a big statement on Muharram and Sawan during an event in Varanasi on Friday. He said, “Ye Laton Ke Bhoot Hain, Baato Se Maanenge Nahi,” which reflects his strict policy regarding law and order and religious events in the state.

Administrative strictness on Muharram and Sawan

CM Yogi said that some people try to separate the society from the mainstream and spread caste conflict by creating fake accounts on social media. He mentioned an incident in Jaunpur, where the height of the Tazia was so high that it came in contact with the high tension line, killing three people. After this there was a ruckus, on which Yogi said, “I said lathi maaro inko, ye laton ke bhoot hain, baato se nahi maanenge.”

Comment on Kanwar Yatra and faith

CM Yogi, citing the example of Kanwar Yatra in the month of Sawan, said that Kanwar pilgrims walk 200–400 kilometers on foot and chant Har-Har Bam while immersed in Shiva devotion, but they also have to face media trial. He said that some people are working to insult the faith and heritage of India, and such elements need to be identified.

Following the rules is mandatory

Yogi Adityanath made it clear that following the rules is mandatory in religious events. He said that instructions have been given to limit the height of the Tazia so that power lines and trees are not damaged. He also said that strict action will be taken against the miscreants, and religious events should be celebrated with discipline and decorum.
